The Government of Balochistan, under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sardarfaraz Ahmed Bugti, has launched the “Chief Minister Martyrs Memorial Scholarship Program.” This initiative is implemented under the Balochistan Education Endowment Fund (BEEF) with the aim of providing complete financial assistance to talented students from the underdeveloped areas of Balochistan. In partnership with Sadiq Public School Bahawalpur, the program aims to provide quality education to deserving students.
This scholarship program is a significant step towards promoting education and empowering the underprivileged youth. For the academic year 2025, 100 students will receive full financial support. These scholarships will be available to male and female students from 11 selected districts of Balochistan, including Sherani, Kohlu, Jhal Magsi, Awaran, Barkhan, Quetta Abdullah, Washuk, Zhob, Musa Khel, Dera Bugti, and Jafarabad.
The scholarship will cover tuition, accommodation, and other educational expenses for the 100 students. These students will be enrolled in various grades, from Class 1 to Class 8, where seats are available. One seat will be reserved for each class in each district, and any unfilled seats will be redistributed. The entrance test will be held in Quetta.
Applicants must provide a local/domicile certificate from their selected districts. Priority will be given to the children of martyrs, particularly those from families affected by terrorism or sectarian violence. Additionally, children from families registered under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will also be eligible. The age limit will be in accordance with Sadiq Public School’s policy.
The application form can be downloaded from the BEEF website (www.beef.org.pk). Completed forms and necessary documents, such as the domicile, academic records, and ID card, must be submitted by February 10, 2025. The aptitude test and interviews will be conducted by Sadiq Public School, and eligible students must secure at least 50% marks.
This scholarship program reflects the government’s commitment to educational reforms and providing equal opportunities to the youth of Balochistan. By investing in education, this initiative hopes to build a bright future for the province and its people.
