Mir Sarfraz Bugti: Commitment to Kashmir’s Freedom and Lasting Peace

Kashmir Solidarity Day is observed every year as a reaffirmation of Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s struggle for freedom. On this occasion, Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, emphasized that the people of Kashmir have been resisting India’s illegal occupation for decades, sacrificing countless lives in their fight for self-determination. Despite India’s oppressive policies, their resilience remains unshaken.

The Kashmir issue is the biggest obstacle to lasting peace in South Asia. This fundamental dispute between Pakistan and India not only affects bilateral relations but also impacts regional stability. Resolving this issue in line with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people is essential, as no nation’s freedom can be suppressed by force. India has turned occupied Kashmir into a land of human rights violations, depriving its people of basic freedoms. However, the dark night of oppression cannot last forever.

The Chief Minister urged the international community to take notice of India’s atrocities and play its role in ensuring the implementation of UN resolutions that grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination. He reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue its diplomatic, moral, and political support for the Kashmiri people. The people of Balochistan, like the rest of Pakistan, stand in full solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

History has shown that struggles for freedom never go in vain. The sacrifices of the Kashmiri people will bear fruit, and the day is not far when occupied Kashmir will break free from Indian oppression and emerge as an independent entity on the world map.
