
Let’s come together and enroll every child in school today to ensure that the light of education reaches every home. These thoughts were expressed by Special Secretary for School Education, Abdul Salam Achakzai, while addressing a seminar organized by the Directorate of Education (Schools) regarding the School Enrollment Campaign 2025. The seminar was attended by District Education Officer Quetta, Dr. Naseer Ali Shah, Director of Schools Akhtar Muhammad Khetran, Director ME Muneer Ahmed Notizai, Director Bureau Saeed Ahmed, Provincial Coordinator UNICEF Naqeeb Khilji, Additional Director Zulekha Kareem, and other officials. The Special Secretary for Education emphasized that enrolling all children in schools across the province is a national responsibility, ensuring that no child is deprived of education and that a brighter future is secured.
On the special instructions of Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Provincial Minister for Education Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, the distribution of 9.3 million free government textbooks was successfully completed across all districts and educational institutions before the start of the 2025 academic year. In Quetta district alone, 1,299,432 textbooks were distributed, a remarkable achievement made possible by the relentless dedication of the Balochistan Textbook Board Chairman and his team.
Addressing the seminar, District Education Officer Dr. Naseer Ali Shah highlighted that education is a fundamental right and a key to a brighter future. The School Enrollment Campaign 2025 aims to ensure that every child reaches school and receives educational opportunities. It is the primary responsibility of parents, teachers, and society as a whole to contribute to the promotion of education.
Director of Schools, Akhtar Muhammad Khetran, also spoke at the seminar, emphasizing that today’s educated child will be tomorrow’s successful citizen. He urged everyone to enroll their children in schools to promote education and lay the foundation for a prosperous, progressive, and enlightened future.
The seminar was attended by teachers, senior officials of the education department, and representatives from UNICEF. In conclusion, as part of the School Enrollment Campaign 2025, free textbooks and school bags were distributed to students at the beginning of the new academic year.
