
The Provincial Apex Committee meeting was held on Tuesday at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The meeting was attended by Commander Balochistan Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Inspector General of Police, and other senior officials. The meeting reviewed the overall security situation in the province, counter-terrorism measures, and the performance of security forces. Additionally, the implementation progress of decisions made in previous national and provincial Apex Committee meetings was also assessed.
The meeting emphasized strict measures to eliminate terrorism and agreed to enhance intelligence sharing. Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that all institutions are on the same page to ensure peace in the province and that every possible step will be taken to safeguard the lives and property of the people. Discussions were also held regarding border management, prevention of smuggling, and measures taken under the National Action Plan.
It was further stressed that close coordination between security forces and the civil administration is essential for sustainable peace in Balochistan. The Chief Minister directed immediate implementation of the decisions made during the meeting and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and the continuity of development projects.
