Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s Visit to Quetta

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Quetta today, where he attended a high-level security conference at the Chief Minister’s House. The meeting was attended by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, senior civil and military officials, federal and provincial ministers, and leaders from various political parties. The conference focused on the current security situation in Balochistan, ongoing counterterrorism efforts, and recent terrorist incidents.

During the meeting, participants were given a comprehensive briefing on the security situation in Balochistan. They were also informed about the details of security operations carried out after the Jaffar Express attack, highlighting the successes of the security forces. The attendees unanimously agreed to maintain a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and pledged to prevent any form of unrest or terrorist activities in the province.

Political leaders, civil and military officials, and other participants reaffirmed their national commitment to combating terrorism. They emphasized that every possible step would be taken to ensure the safety and development of the people of Balochistan. The conference strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Jaffar Express and reaffirmed the determination to take strict action against the perpetrators. Tributes were paid to the martyrs, and prayers were offered for their eternal peace.

In his address, the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to protecting and developing Balochistan. He assured that all available resources would be utilized for the welfare of the province’s people. He also appreciated the performance of security agencies, stating that their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism would not go in vain. The meeting further discussed various strategies to establish lasting peace in Balochistan, with a consensus that local administration and the public should also be actively involved in security efforts.

The Prime Minister’s visit reflected the government’s solidarity with the people of Balochistan and its firm resolve to maintain peace in the region. He assured that all possible measures would be taken to address the province’s challenges, and development projects would be accelerated to improve public services. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the relevant authorities to take effective steps to further enhance security and adopt a comprehensive strategy to eliminate terrorism completely
