Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has stated that “Udaan-e-Pakistan” is not a utopian idea but a comprehensive and visionary national economic transformation plan. It includes a clear development strategy, a strong vision, and actionable steps. He was addressing a provincial consultative workshop organized by the Federal Ministry of Planning and Special Initiatives.
He emphasized that Balochistan needs effective reforms, scientific planning, and merit-based governance. The government has initiated reforms in the Planning and Development Department, and development funds worth Rs. 210 billion are being utilized efficiently to directly benefit the people.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the support of the federal government, noting that major projects such as the Kachhi Canal and road infrastructure would not have been possible without federal collaboration. He stressed that no development plan can be sustainable without the inclusion of youth, and therefore, the government is ensuring the active participation of young people in the mainstream.
He also announced that the “Export Development Board” will be approved next week to boost exports from the province. Additionally, special industrial zones are being developed not as symbolic projects, but as fully functional centers of industry. To support educational progress, 100 students from underdeveloped districts of Balochistan are being provided scholarships at Sadiq Public School.
The Chief Minister concluded that the government is focusing on long-term and sustainable development projects that will bring direct benefits to the public. With the cooperation of the private sector, Balochistan can be transformed into a developed and proud province of Pakistan.
