Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, held a meeting with officials from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the United Business Group (UBG). Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, provincial ministers, parliamentarians, and representatives from the Balochistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry were also present on the occasion. The meeting began with a prayer for the martyrs of the Khuzdar tragedy, seeking forgiveness and blessings for their souls.
The Chief Minister warmly welcomed the business community of Pakistan to Balochistan and stated that the provincial government is committed to providing a safe and conducive environment for investors. He assured that the government will listen to the suggestions of investors with sincerity and will strive to implement them effectively.
He highlighted that FPCCI and UBG can play a vital role in the development of economic zones in the province. He further noted that there are abundant investment opportunities in sectors such as mining, solar energy, oil and gas, and many others, which should be fully utilized.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the provincial government has always encouraged legal trade and discouraged smuggling. He emphasized that investors should establish industries in the province to create employment opportunities at the local level and to strengthen the regional economy.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the presidents and officials of FPCCI and UBG appreciated the Chief Minister’s efforts and praised his commitment to promoting investment in Balochistan. The Chief Minister also specifically acknowledged the contributions of Bilal Khan Kakar, CEO of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, for his dedicated efforts in advancing investment in the province.
