Quetta — The Government of Balochistan has decided to seal the Chiltan Ghee Mill, which has been under illegal occupation for the past 33 years. The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, where detailed discussions were held and approval was given to take strict action against the occupiers.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed strong displeasure over the prolonged illegal occupation and directed the concerned departments to take immediate action. Secretary Industries briefed the meeting, stating that due to a breach of agreement, the lease of the Chiltan Ghee Mill with a private company was terminated in 1992. However, the company continued to occupy the property despite the lease termination.
It was further informed that the petitions filed by the occupiers in the Supreme Court and High Court had already been dismissed, while the private company still owes more than Rs. 230 million to the Government of Balochistan.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti expressed anger over administrative negligence in the matter and ordered action against those responsible. He emphasized that encroachment on government property will not be tolerated under any circumstances and directed that strict legal action be taken against the former lessees to ensure the immediate recovery of the mill
