Balochistan CM Orders Immediate Action Against Meat Overpricing

Quetta, February 21, 2026 — Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has ordered immediate action following complaints from citizens regarding the sale of meat above official government rates. Authorities conducted raids across various parts of the city, taking strict action against profiteers. Over 70 individuals have been arrested, and fines along with prompt legal measures have been imposed. The Chief Minister emphasized that during the holy month of Ramadan, any violation of official price lists or hoarding will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Measures are ongoing to ensure timely and effective administrative responses to citizens’ complaints.
