Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met with Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, at Bilawal House Karachi. The meeting focused on the overall situation of both provinces, government performance, and public issues. Chief Minister Balochistan briefed Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on the security situation in the province and the measures taken to maintain law and order. He stated that the provincial government is making every effort to eliminate terrorism and ensure the safety of the people while implementing a reform agenda for the improvement of healthcare and education in line with the PPP’s vision.
CM Balochistan highlighted the ongoing initiatives for educational development, mentioning that under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program, students from Balochistan are being sent to prestigious universities such as Oxford and other top institutions worldwide. Additionally, scholarship programs are being provided to matriculation position holders from every district. He emphasized that the current provincial government has inherited long-standing issues, which are being addressed with dedication and determination. To support underprivileged individuals during the holy month of Ramadan, the Balochistan government has launched a Ramadan food package to provide relief to the poor across all districts.
Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari appreciated the educational reforms initiated by the Balochistan government and termed them as a significant step towards sustainable development. He assured that the issues faced by Balochistan at the federal level would be raised with the federal government and that practical steps would be taken to meet the expectations of the people. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari directed both chief ministers to take all necessary measures to resolve public issues in Sindh and Balochistan and to ensure public service delivery. He reiterated that the Pakistan People’s Party firmly believes in public welfare and that all government initiatives should be advanced with this perspective in mind.
