Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has emphasized that baseless and misleading propaganda against the state fuels social discord, instability, and violence, making its timely and effective counter essential. He noted that guiding all segments of society—especially the youth—toward the right direction and informing them with facts is critically important in the current environment to prevent negative thinking and extremist tendencies.
He stated that an effective strategy to counter extremism must be built on research, public awareness, and strong institutional cooperation. In this context, institutions operating in Balochistan can play a vital role by promoting positive and constructive narratives through research and awareness initiatives. According to the Chief Minister, sustainable peace cannot be achieved without coordinated, organized actions aligned with modern requirements.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti further highlighted that educational institutions and social media platforms will be used as effective tools to deliver fact-based and positive messages to the younger generation, protecting them from the influence of misleading elements. He stressed that youth participation and awareness are indispensable for lasting peace and order, and that the provincial government is taking comprehensive and practical measures in this regard.
He also pointed out that improving law and order in Balochistan requires effective coordination among all relevant institutions, and future strategies are being developed on this basis. The Chief Minister added that clearly defining and strengthening state responsibilities is essential for ensuring public safety.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister announced that the Levies Force has been merged into the police across the province, ending a long-standing administrative ambiguity regarding the uniform enforcement of law. He said this decision will improve the law enforcement system and further strengthen the protection of life and property for the people.
