Governance, Youth, and State Stability in Balochistan

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has stated that the state has never adopted a policy of indiscriminate use of force in Balochistan. He clarified that labeling limited and targeted actions as a full-scale state operation is contrary to ground realities. According to him, there is a clear difference between the narratives being propagated about Balochistan and the actual situation on the ground, a distinction that today’s youth must understand.
Addressing participants of the Balochistan National Workshop, the Chief Minister said that young people are Pakistan’s most valuable asset and the guarantee of a bright future. He emphasized that informing youth about accurate historical facts and the national narrative is one of the most urgent needs of the time, as organized misinformation and false narratives have been spread through social media to create distance between the youth and the state. He asserted that dreams of weakening the state through violence and chaos will never succeed.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti warned that young people are often misled through psychological manipulation and organized recruitment tactics, making it essential to adopt a positive, truth-based approach instead of blindly following any negative narrative without proper verification. He reiterated that Pakistan is a strong and invincible state that will always endure, and that elements dreaming of dividing the country will consistently fail.
The Chief Minister expressed his readiness to respond to even the toughest questions from the youth through dialogue, reasoning, and facts. He stated that he remains available at all times for engagement with young people at every educational institution, university, and national forum to address misunderstandings and build mutual trust.
He further stated that an effective model of governance is being introduced in Balochistan, as poor governance fuels anti-state tendencies, whereas good governance ensures state stability. Highlighting key achievements, he noted that more than 3,200 previously closed schools have been reopened across the province, and that basic healthcare facilities have been provided for the first time since the creation of Pakistan in several underdeveloped areas.
Speaking on education, the Chief Minister said that the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program is the largest educational initiative in Balochistan’s history. Under this program, scholarships are being awarded not only to the children of civilian martyrs but also to minorities and transgender individuals. He added that every student in Balochistan has the potential to pursue scientific education at top universities around the world, with doors opened to PhD opportunities in more than 200 international institutions.
In conclusion, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed his commitment to continue working for the betterment and development of Balochistan until his very last day and moment, stressing that a stable, developed, and informed Balochistan is the true guarantee of a strong Pakistan.
