Important Meeting Chaired by Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti to Improve Security Arrangements in Duki Mines Area

An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, to review and improve security arrangements in the Duki Mines Area. The meeting focused on restoring law and order and developing a comprehensive strategy for better monitoring of mining activities. The Chief Minister emphasized that an effective and comprehensive strategy is being prepared to ensure sustainable development and peace in the region.

The Chief Minister ordered the immediate registration of unregistered mines, stating that ensuring the legal status of all mines is essential for effective government oversight and better resource management. He also directed a review of the current mines royalty rates, instructing the establishment of a system that directly benefits the local population, with the generated revenue being utilized for regional development.

To further improve the law and order situation, the Chief Minister instructed the Inspector General of Police to recruit 200 security personnel on merit for deployment in the Duki Mines Area. He stressed that transparency must be ensured in the recruitment process to establish better governance and security in the region.

The Chief Minister highlighted the need for effective and coordinated communication between the Frontier Corps (FC), Police, and Levies to maintain peace and security in the Duki Mines Area. He noted that such coordination is crucial not only to tackle security challenges but also to prevent illegal activities effectively.

The meeting was attended by Minister for Mines Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, Additional Chief Secretary for Home Affairs Shahabuddin, Inspector General of Police Balochistan Moazzam Jah Ansari, and other senior officials. During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various security aspects and local development projects to promote the region’s economic and social progress.
