Establishment of PEC’s First Facilitation Desk in Balochistan

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has launched its first facilitation desk in Balochistan, marking a significant milestone for engineers in the province. The desk has been set up at the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering, and Management Sciences (BUITEMS) in Quetta, aimed at supporting fresh graduates in their professional journey.

During the inauguration ceremony, PEC Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir stated that the facilitation desk’s purpose is to restore the self-esteem of engineers and create opportunities for their growth. He emphasized the crucial role engineers play in national development and expressed confidence that this initiative would help foster leadership in the engineering sector.

This desk will provide new graduates with a structured career path, granting them access to professional resources and opportunities. The PEC initiative is part of its efforts to strengthen connections between the engineering community, academia, and industry.

The PEC Chairman highlighted that this platform would play a vital role in conferring the prestigious title of “Engineer” and enabling graduates to immediately practice their profession. He further announced plans to establish similar facilitation desks in universities across the country to ensure the long-term growth of the engineering field.
