
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Government of Balochistan has signed a historic agreement with Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), which will bring extensive opportunities for development, education, and employment to the people of Sui and Balochistan. This agreement aims to provide quality education, modern skills, and better job prospects for the youth of Balochistan. As part of the agreement, PPL will grant scholarships to 50 students annually at Lawrence College and Cadet College Hasan Abdal. Additionally, 14 local diploma holders and 7 engineers will be recruited purely on merit. Furthermore, under the skill development program, 50 young individuals will receive training every year for employment abroad, marking a transformative step for Balochistan’s youth.
This agreement is also of immense significance in terms of infrastructure development. On the special directive of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the Sui Model City project is being initiated, ensuring the construction of roads, sewerage systems, streetlights, parks, and other modern amenities. Moreover, the agreement includes a plan to supply 1 million gallons of clean water daily to the residents of Sui. Additionally, a request has been made to the federal government for cooperation in establishing a modern medical college and university in Sui, allowing Balochistan’s youth to access high-quality education within their province.
Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has also emphasized environmental improvements, directing the relocation of gas flaring sites 10 kilometers away to mitigate environmental hazards for the local population. PPL will renovate all old government buildings in Dera Bugti and equip them with modern facilities, ensuring that residents have easy access to essential services.
The agreement prioritizes merit and transparency. Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has made it clear that all recruitments in PPL will be conducted strictly on merit, with no room for favoritism or nepotism. Furthermore, steps are being taken to expedite the hiring of retired employees who have been waiting for employment for an extended period.
This agreement marks the beginning of a new era of development in Balochistan. Following Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s vision, it lays a solid foundation for advancements in education, employment, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability.
