Key Decisions of the Balochistan Cabinet Meeting

In the recent Balochistan Cabinet meeting, several key decisions were made to promote the province’s development, transparency, and public welfare. The approval of the Digital Land Settlement system was granted, under which all land records will be computerized to ensure transparency and easy access. Additionally, a tax relief decision was made for agricultural production in Kachhi Canal, providing provincial tax exemptions to landowners to support the agricultural sector.

The Balochistan Water Resources Management Bill was also approved to ensure the effective and proper use of water resources. A plan was introduced to shift agricultural tube wells to solar energy, which will help mitigate the energy crisis and provide relief to farmers. Furthermore, a new fisheries and aquaculture policy was approved, aiming to modernize and strengthen the fisheries sector.

The Balochistan Disposal of Motor Vehicles Rules 2025 was sanctioned, which will introduce legislation to make the process of vehicle purchase, sale, and registration more transparent. An additional grant was approved for the restoration of Cadet College Jaffarabad to rehabilitate the flood-affected educational institution.

A decision was also made to establish a laboratory under the Balochistan Food Authority to ensure food security and quality testing. The approval to declare Tehsil Dera Bugti as an ‘A’ area was granted to improve law and order in the region. A cabinet committee was formed to facilitate the transparent sale of government wheat in the open market.

The establishment of two new police stations in Jaffarabad was approved to enhance public security. The appointment of a judge for the Anti-Terrorism Court in Khuzdar was also decided to improve the judicial system. Additionally, funds amounting to 65 million rupees were allocated for the Public Health Engineering Department to support public health initiatives.

Amendments to the Right to Information Act were also approved to ensure transparent governance. All these decisions aim to accelerate development projects in Balochistan, provide better facilities to the public, and ensure the effective utilization of the province’s resources.
