
For the first time in Balochistan’s history, a significant development took place as federal ministers, secretaries, and heads of various federal departments visited Quetta together. The purpose of this visit was to review federal matters related to Balochistan and take practical steps to resolve pending issues. Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, briefed the media about the details of the meeting and highlighted key discussions and decisions.
During this high-level meeting, various issues related to the province’s federal affairs were thoroughly examined. A total of 47 agenda points were discussed, including various development projects, financial, administrative, and legal challenges faced by the province, infrastructure improvements, and other critical matters. Senior officials from federal ministries and departments participated in the meeting and provided briefings on relevant issues.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Petroleum, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, FBR, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Communications, Planning Commission, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, PTA, Ministry of Law, Establishment Division, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Aviation, Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Law and Justice. Officials from these departments presented recommendations for addressing Balochistan’s challenges and possible solutions.
This meeting is being regarded as a significant step forward for Balochistan, as it emphasized the need for better coordination between the federal and provincial governments and practical steps to resolve outstanding issues. It was agreed that such meetings would continue in the future to ensure the province’s development and progress.
