
Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, met with a delegation led by Senator Dinesh Kumar, which included the head of Hinglaj Mata Temple. Former Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar was also present at the meeting. The delegation expressed their gratitude to the Government of Balochistan for the ongoing development projects at Hinglaj Mata Temple and shared their thoughts on further improving this historic and religious site.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Hinglaj Mata Temple into a world-class religious tourism destination. He assured that additional resources would be allocated for the temple in the upcoming provincial budget to ensure the best possible facilities for visiting pilgrims. He emphasized that minorities in Balochistan are not considered separate from the majority but an integral part of society, and the government is making every effort for their welfare.
The Chief Minister also praised the active role of Senator Dinesh Kumar in advocating for minority rights and social welfare. He highlighted that minorities are being provided equal opportunities in education, healthcare, employment, and development. Additionally, a special quota for minorities has been allocated under the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program to help them access higher education.
Balochistan is known for its religious tolerance and interfaith harmony, with Hinglaj Mata Temple being a prime example. Every year, millions of pilgrims visit this sacred site. The Chief Minister stated that Hinglaj Mata Temple has the potential to be recognized as a global religious tourism destination, and the government will continue to provide all necessary resources for the facilitation of pilgrims.
He further stressed that minorities have played a significant role in Pakistan’s economic and social development, and their contributions cannot be overlooked. The Balochistan government remains committed to protecting minority rights and ensuring equal opportunities for all communities.
