
The ministers and spokesperson of the Balochistan government have strongly condemned the recent acts of terrorism, labeling them as a well-orchestrated conspiracy by anti-state elements. The government representatives have made it clear that every act of terrorism will be dealt with firmly, and all conspiracies against Pakistan will be foiled.
While addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, Provincial Minister for Development and Planning, Mir Zahoor Buledi, described the attack on the Jaffer Express as an extreme act of brutality, where innocent passengers were taken hostage and subjected to violence. He further stated that the incident in Gwadar, where innocent citizens were taken off a passenger bus and executed, was highly tragic and condemnable.
Mir Zahoor Buledi added that the recent bombing that targeted renowned doctor Mehrullah Tareen was yet another example of terrorism striking professionals who were dedicated to public service. He emphasized that the development of Balochistan is intolerable to hostile elements, but such forces will not be spared.
During the press conference, Provincial Minister for Finance, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, acknowledged that Balochistan is facing a new wave of terrorism but assured that the government, along with the people, is determined to eradicate it. He also admitted that certain areas in the province suffer from deprivation and governance issues, but the government is actively taking steps to resolve them.
Government spokesperson Shahid Rind reaffirmed that the provincial government believes in resolving issues through dialogue. In this regard, the Chief Minister of Balochistan has extended an offer to the opposition for negotiations to address various concerns. He further stated that the Balochistan government has a clear and firm stance against terrorism, and those committing killings in the name of ethnicity or identity will face strict action.
The government representatives reiterated their commitment to ensuring the protection of citizens’ lives and property, vowing that no act of terrorism will be tolerated.
