Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, chose a path fundamentally different from that of traditional politicians as soon as he assumed office. Like past governments, it would have been easy for him to silence figures like Sardar Akhtar Mengal with billions of rupees, or offer crores to protest leaders like Mahrang Baloch to call off their demonstrations and enjoy the perks of power in peace. But he chose not to walk that path. Instead of being a passive spectator in power, he stepped into the arena with a firm resolve to fight for a better future for the coming generations.
Sarfraz Bugti has exposed the politics carried out in the name of nationalism in Balochistan, where certain groups were promoting terrorism and chaos under the cover of women’s rights and cultural sanctity. His government has sent a clear message that blackmail in the name of nationalism will no longer be tolerated, nor will any conspiracies to weaken the state through the misuse of women be accepted.
Today, while Sarfraz Bugti’s opponents may secretly enjoy the support of hostile countries like India, Bugti stands with the full strength of Pakistan behind him. He is not just the Chief Minister of Balochistan; he is a defender of Pakistan’s peace and security. The steps being taken under his leadership to restore peace in Balochistan are deeply unsettling for anti-state elements — which is precisely why he is facing the most criticism and conspiracies today.
In response to events like the Jaffar Express hijacking and to crush anti-state narratives, the decisions Sarfraz Bugti is making transcend short-term politics and are paving the way for long-term stability. His mission is clear: to defeat every enemy of the state for the sake of peace in Balochistan and calm across Pakistan. And today, the majority of Balochistan understands — Bugti’s way is the way to peace.
