An important meeting was held in Quetta under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to review the implementation of the Provincial Action Plan. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan and secretaries from all provincial departments. The Home and Tribal Affairs Department gave a detailed briefing on the action plan, informing that action has been initiated against government employees involved in anti-state activities. Additionally, route permits of eleven buses belonging to various transport companies have been canceled, and a ban has been imposed on their operation.
The Chief Minister directed that strict surveillance must be maintained on anti-state propaganda and activities. If any non-governmental organization is found involved in illegal activities, immediate action should be taken. He emphasized that to make the Provincial Action Plan integrated and effective, immediate, practical, and collective decisions are essential. The interest of the state must be prioritized at all costs, and merit should be ensured at every level.
During the meeting, officials from the Education Department briefed that, for the first time in Balochistan’s history, 1,436 closed schools have been reactivated within just two months. Furthermore, appointment orders for 7,908 contract teachers have been issued, and orders for an additional 3,500 teachers will be issued soon. The Chief Minister termed these measures a historic milestone in the education sector, stating that they will brighten the academic future of Balochistan’s students.
The Chief Minister also remarked that the fight against terrorism is not solely the responsibility of state institutions, but a collective duty of every citizen. In today’s era—where lies can be portrayed as truth through social media and artificial intelligence—it is vital to present fact-based truths before the public. He stated that decisions must be based not on popular narratives but on truth, so that Balochistan can move towards lasting peace and stability.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for comprehensive and effective legislation through consultation with all stakeholders. He reaffirmed his commitment to steering Balochistan on the path of peace, development, and justice, ensuring that state institutions continue to perform their duties with the trust of the people.
