The Martyrdom of Balochistan’s Promising Officers and BLA’s Genocide: A Tragic Reality

Two brilliant and hardworking young men from Balochistan, Deputy Commissioner Zakir Baloch and Assistant Deputy Commissioner Hidayatullah Baloch (Bilidi), who earned their place in the province’s bureaucracy after years of dedication and struggle, fell victim to the brutality of the terrorist organization BLA (Balochistan Liberation Army). These young officers had a dream — to serve their underdeveloped province, solve the problems of their people, and pave the way for progress. Sadly, those dreams were once again soaked in blood.

These martyrs were not just government officers; they were the guiding lights of Balochistan who emerged to shine amidst the darkness. Their success stories were a beacon of hope for thousands of other youth. They proved that through knowledge, hard work, and determination, every obstacle can be overcome. But organizations like the BLA are enemies of such hope. They do not just kill individuals — they murder the future of an entire nation.

Calling BLA’s actions mere terrorism is an understatement. This is nothing short of genocide. A particular class, a specific community, and a certain vision are being consistently targeted. The question is: why does the world — and even Pakistan itself — fail to see this painful truth? Why are human rights organizations, international media, and even our own state silent in the face of such atrocities?

When a nation’s brightest and most capable youth are slaughtered in cold blood and no one raises a voice, it is not just a tragedy — it is a collective failure. The martyrdom of Zakir Baloch and Hidayatullah Baloch shakes us to our core. There is no room left for silence. It is time to call this terrorism by its true name and unite to raise our voices against it. Balochistan must not be stripped of its own children, for these children are the true strength and hope of this land.
