
In Quetta, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti presided over a high-level meeting during which a detailed briefing was given on the recent Shahwani Stadium blast. During the session, the Chief Minister directed that measures for maintaining peace in the province should be made more effective, while the public and media must be kept informed of the facts.
He made it clear that terrorist elements will not be forgiven under any circumstances and will be brought to their logical end. The Chief Minister also reaffirmed that the families of martyrs will never be left alone and that the government will continue to stand by them. Regarding the treatment of the injured, he instructed that the best medical facilities be provided, and that critically injured patients be immediately shifted to Karachi through air services.
The meeting also decided that foolproof security arrangements will be ensured during the 12 Rabi-ul-Awal programs in order to prevent any untoward incident. On this occasion, an appeal was made to the public to fully cooperate with state institutions for the maintenance of peace so that the journey of development and stability in the province can be further strengthened.
