Balochistan Youth: Education, Empowerment and the Path to Progress

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, while interacting with students of various educational institutions, stated that the youth of Balochistan are full of potential, yet they have long faced a lack of opportunities. He said the provincial government has, for the first time, introduced a Youth Policy to provide better access to education, skills, and employment, enabling young people to play their part in the nation’s future.

He emphasized that embracing the youth and protecting them from negative propaganda is a top priority of his government. In this regard, the province has launched its first Women Endowment Fund to empower women. For the first time, women have also been appointed to key administrative positions, as no society can progress without the meaningful role of women.

Highlighting reforms in education and health, the Chief Minister said that in just one year, 3,200 previously closed schools have been reopened and by December no school in the province will remain inactive. Additionally, 16,000 teachers have been recruited strictly on merit. He added that unnecessary posts in government departments are being abolished to ensure efficiency and transparency in governance.

Speaking on development, Mir Sarfraz Bugti remarked that unbalanced growth is not only Balochistan’s challenge but the entire country’s. However, he made it clear that taking up arms against the state under the pretext of deprivation is unacceptable. While the government is open to dialogue, those with innocent blood on their hands will not escape the grip of the law.

He stressed the importance of educating the youth about Balochistan’s true history so they can distinguish between truth and propaganda. He reminded the students that the government had promised to keep all highways in the province open, and that promise has now been fulfilled.

The Chief Minister warned that negative propaganda on social media is misleading the younger generation and must be countered effectively. He called on the youth to recognize the truth, reject the lies, and expose the agendas of anti-state elements so that Balochistan can move forward on the path of peace, progress, and prosperity.
