Key Political Meeting Emphasizes National Stability and Economic Improvement

A meeting was held between Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor Punjab Saleem Haider, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Rathore. Senior leaders of the Pakistan Peoples Party, along with provincial ministers and other important figures, were also present.
During the meeting, participants held detailed discussions on the national economy, political and social conditions, organizational matters of the Pakistan Peoples Party, and issues of mutual interest. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stated that the country’s economy is moving in a positive direction and that the benefits of this improvement will gradually appear in the form of poverty reduction. He emphasized that economic development is not possible without political stability and added that public confidence in the state system is being restored due to current government policies.
Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Faisal Rathore said that cooperation between the federal government and the provinces is vital for the development of Azad Kashmir, adding that the positive effects of national stability and economic improvement are reaching the region as well. The Sindh Chief Minister highlighted that strong coordination between the federation and the provinces is essential for promoting national unity.
Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani spoke about various legislative matters and stressed that strengthening the democratic process through parliament is the need of the hour. Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, while discussing the law and order situation along the Sindh–Balochistan border, said that joint efforts are necessary to further improve security. He noted that improved coordination between the law enforcement agencies of both provinces has helped effectively control crime.
The meeting also discussed making the organizational structure and political activities of the Pakistan Peoples Party in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa more effective. Participants agreed that political stability, along with economic and social development, is essential for the country’s overall progress.
