Sui Master Plan: Another Key Initiative by the Balochistan Government

On January 5, 2026, a high-level meeting regarding the Sui Master Plan was held in Quetta, chaired by the Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary of Balochistan, Shakeel Qadir Khan, Managing Director of PPL, Sikandar Memon, and senior officials from the relevant departments. Additionally, Member of National Assembly, Mian Khan Bugti, Deputy Commissioner of Dera Bugti, Zohaib-ul-Haq, and Chairman of the Municipal Committee, Izzat Aman Bugti, were also present.

The meeting decided to initiate internal development and urban beautification projects under the Sui Master Development Plan for Sui Town. These projects will include the construction of streetlights, drainage systems, water supply, sports grounds, and a bus terminal. The main objective of this development plan is to transform Sui into a well-organized and modern city.

The implementation of this project will be carried out in phases, with PPL providing its share of resources as per the agreement. It was agreed in the meeting that this project will provide modern urban amenities to the local population, thereby improving their quality of life.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the Balochistan government is taking practical steps to make Sui a beautiful, sustainable, and organized city. He further added that the planning of the Sui Master Plan is aligned with public needs.

The Chief Minister emphasized that there will be no compromise on transparency, quality, and timely completion in the development projects. According to him, the development of Sui will not only strengthen the local economy but also create new job opportunities, improving the lives of the local people.

The Sui Master Plan is a significant step by the Balochistan government, which will not only lead to the development of Sui city but also open new avenues of progress for the surrounding areas.
