Balochistan Government’s Practical Steps to Achieve Development Goals

An important meeting was held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, to discuss the province’s ten-year development plan. The meeting focused on key sectors such as education, health, governance, activation of local government institutions, and the establishment of educational institutions at the union council level with the support of the Tasawwur-e-Umeed Foundation.

While addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the promotion of education is the government’s top priority. He stated that if these projects are successfully implemented with the assistance of the Tasawwur-e-Umeed Foundation, a large number of out-of-school children in the province would be provided with educational facilities.

He further added that the Government of Balochistan is taking practical steps to improve the education sector and utilizing all available resources to achieve long-term educational goals. The Chief Minister highlighted that the collaboration of the Tasawwur-e-Umeed Foundation is of significant importance in achieving the government’s objectives.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister also stressed the need for rapid progress on solid plans to improve the health and governance sectors. Regarding the activation of local government institutions, he mentioned that a comprehensive strategy is being developed to strengthen these institutions, ensuring the provision of public services at the local level.

Additional Chief Secretary for Development and Planning, Hafiz Abdul Basit, briefed the attendees on various development projects. The Chief Minister directed that all projects should be completed with transparency and an effective strategy so that the benefits of the development process can reach the public as soon as possible. He reaffirmed that the Government of Balochistan will take all possible measures to achieve development goals and will leave no stone unturned in implementing welfare projects for the people.

The meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Development and Planning Mir Zahoor Ahmed Buledi, Chief Secretary Balochistan Shakeel Qadir Khan, Additional Chief Secretary for Development and Planning Hafiz Abdul Basit, Principal Secretary Babar Khan, Secretary of Finance Imran Zarkoon, Spokesperson of the Balochistan Government Shahid Rind, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat Muhammad Fareedun, and other relevant officials.
