Balochistan Budget 2026-27 to Prioritize Public Welfare, Balanced Development, and Inclusive Consultation

QUETTA: The Government of Balochistan has reaffirmed its commitment to preparing a people-centric and development-oriented budget for the fiscal year 2026-27, emphasizing broad political consultation and sustainable growth across the province.

During a consultative meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, parliamentary leaders from various political parties discussed budget priorities, development strategies, and measures aimed at improving public services and economic opportunities.

Participants shared recommendations covering key sectors such as education, healthcare, clean drinking water, energy, transportation, municipal services, and infrastructure development. The discussion focused on ensuring that public resources are directed toward projects that deliver tangible benefits to citizens and support long-term socio-economic progress.

Addressing the meeting, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the provincial government is working toward a balanced and realistic budget that reflects the needs of the people while addressing development challenges and fiscal realities. He emphasized the importance of incorporating constructive input from political stakeholders into the budget-making process.

The chief minister highlighted that public welfare, healthcare, education, employment generation, and social sector development would remain among the government’s top priorities in the upcoming fiscal plan. He also stressed the need to accelerate development in remote and underserved regions to ensure equitable growth across all districts of the province.

The meeting further underscored the importance of transparency, accountability, and quality standards in the selection and implementation of development projects. Despite financial constraints, the government remains focused on delivering maximum relief to citizens while maintaining the momentum of development initiatives.

Political representatives attending the session welcomed the consultative approach adopted by the provincial government and expressed their support for efforts aimed at promoting economic stability, public welfare, and sustainable development throughout Balochistan.
