Balochistan Levies Force Establishes Counter-Terrorism Wing

The Balochistan government has announced the establishment of a special Counter-Terrorism Wing within the Balochistan Levies Force to enhance its capabilities in combating terrorism across the province. Director General of the Balochistan Levies Force, Abdul Ghaffar Magsi, made this announcement on Monday, stating that the new wing aims to bolster the force’s effectiveness against terrorist activities.

Magsi emphasized that this initiative will strengthen collaboration with other security forces and agencies, thereby improving the overall security situation in Balochistan. He noted that the establishment of this wing would significantly enhance the operational capabilities of the Levies Force and foster better coordination among security institutions.

The Counter-Terrorism Wing will be equipped with modern weaponry, advanced equipment, and receive specialized training to effectively dismantle terrorist networks and stabilize security conditions in the region. This decision comes in response to recent incidents where Levies personnel were attacked, and their weapons seized by militants. In light of these events, the Director General has taken serious notice and decided to establish the specialized wing within the force.

DG Magsi expressed a firm commitment to utilizing all available resources and capabilities to continue the fight against terrorism and ensure peace for the people of Balochistan. He stated that this wing would play a pivotal role in future counter-terrorism operations, thereby strengthening the province’s security framework.
