
The National Security Committee held a crucial meeting that lasted for six hours, with top political and military leadership in attendance. The meeting focused on the rising incidents of terrorism, security challenges, and restoring the state’s authority. According to the official statement, there will be strict action not only against terrorists but also against their supporters, propagandists, and those aiding them digitally on social media. No one will be spared.
It was decided in the meeting that all possible options would be utilized to completely eliminate terrorism from the country. The military leadership provided a detailed briefing to the participants, presenting evidence of terrorist activities in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The participants unanimously agreed that there is no place for terrorists and their facilitators in Pakistan, and the state’s authority will be upheld at all costs.
The meeting was attended by Army Chief General Asim Munir, DG ISI, the four chief ministers, governors, Bilawal Bhutto, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Yousuf Raza Gilani, Faisal Vawda, Khalid Maqbool, Jam Kamal, and other key figures. However, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Akhtar Mengal, and members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) did not participate in the meeting.
