A suspected suicide blast occurred near Lak Pass in Mastung; however, according to reports, there were no casualties. The spokesperson for the Balochistan government stated that at the time of the explosion, the Balochistan National Party (BNP) was holding a sit-in nearby, but all political leaders, including Sardar Akhtar Mengal, and the participants remained unharmed.
The Balochistan government has been in continuous contact with BNP leadership since last night. A BNP delegation met with the administration, and it was agreed that a government delegation would meet with Sardar Akhtar Mengal today for further discussions.
The government has launched a thorough investigation into the incident, and according to the spokesperson, the findings will be shared with the public soon. The spokesperson further emphasized that the government’s top priority is ensuring the safety of the sit-in participants, BNP leadership, and the general public.
The Balochistan government has urged Sardar Akhtar Mengal, BNP, and the public to cooperate with the authorities and assist in resolving the situation through dialogue.
