Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that the Pakistan Army has the capability to deliver a crushing response to any aggression, emphasizing that anyone who looks at Pakistan with hostile intent will face a powerful reply. He strongly condemned India’s unprovoked and unjustified attack on Pakistan last night, stating that the Pakistan Army and Air Force successfully shot down Indian fighter jets, thwarting their malicious designs.
Speaking at the “Rising Balochistan and Youth Innovations” event organized by the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade, the Chief Minister highlighted that India, a country with terrorist ambitions, supports militant organizations in Balochistan. He reassured that the people of Balochistan stand shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces, ready to respond to any aggression.
He further noted that Balochistan is a land of investment and opportunities, with its natural resources attracting both local and foreign investors. Stressing the importance of modern media, he encouraged the youth to use social media to project a positive image of the province and channel their energies towards the development and prosperity of Balochistan.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the provincial government is soon introducing a digital media policy to ensure the constructive use of social media platforms for the province’s progress. He spoke about the provincial development budget, stating that 200 billion rupees have been allocated for this fiscal year, which, although modest considering the province’s vast size, will be utilized effectively, with all projects expected to be completed by June.
He added that the upcoming financial budget will focus on creating maximum employment opportunities. He also highlighted initiatives like the Benazir Scholarship for talented students, children of martyrs, and laborers, as well as projects aimed at providing overseas employment opportunities for the youth.
Additionally, he mentioned a collaboration with Akhuwat to provide easy installment loans to young entrepreneurs to start their own businesses. The provincial government is also committed to providing technical and vocational education, enabling the youth to secure jobs both locally and globally.
During the event, students asked the Chief Minister various questions, which he addressed in detail. The event also featured speeches from Vice Chairman of the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade Bilal Khan Kakar, CEO of the Public-Private Partnership Authority Dr. Faisal, Vice-Chancellor of BUITEMS Dr. Khalid Hafeez, and other prominent speakers.
