Chief Minister Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti’s Visit to Sui: Focus on Tribal Harmony, Condolences, and Reconciliation Efforts

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, undertook a one-day visit to Sui on Monday, during which he visited various areas and offered condolences and prayers (Fateha) to the families of the deceased, accompanied by local tribal elders. Emphasizing the importance of tribal unity, brotherhood, and resolving long-standing disputes, the Chief Minister stated that tribal harmony is the foundation of Balochistan’s development and prosperity.

During his visit, the Chief Minister met the family of Wadera Sher Baig Khan Qalandrani to offer condolences on the death of his son. He also visited the families of Shaheed Raham Ali Mondarani and Master Muhammad Sharif to express sympathy and grief. Additionally, he offered condolences to the family of Wadera Barani Khan Bugti on the passing of his brother.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister made serious efforts to resolve the long-standing disputes between the two major branches of the Bugti tribe—Hotkani and Hamzani. He worked towards building reconciliation between the two sides and took part in traditional Balochi mediation (Mehṛh) proceedings. Speaking during the discussions, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized that without peace, development is not possible. He urged all tribes to promote mutual respect, tolerance, and unity so that peace may prevail in the region and progress can be accelerated.

He added that Balochistan’s political stability and prosperity are directly linked to tribal unity and cohesion. The government not only respects tribal identities and traditions but is also committed to taking all possible steps for peace, development, and public welfare. He stressed the need for collective efforts to secure a bright and peaceful future for Balochistan.
