Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s Address in Qilla Saifullah

Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, while addressing a public gathering in Qilla Saifullah, said that terrorism, whether carried out in the name of religion or ethnicity, has nothing to do with people’s rights or development. He made it clear that the people of Balochistan stand as a strong wall against terrorists and that stepping back is not an option.

He stated that those who take up arms in the name of religion are actually enemies of faith, as Islam conveys the message of peace, brotherhood, and tolerance. Similarly, those who promote violence in the name of nationalism or so-called rights are also working against the security of the country. The Chief Minister declared that the killing of innocent travelers and citizens is an unforgivable crime and strongly condemned the suicide attack on a political gathering in Quetta. According to him, the people of Balochistan are fully united against terrorism.

Sarfraz Bugti further said that peaceful protest is the democratic right of every citizen, but blocking roads and creating hardships for the public goes against the Constitution and the law. He emphasized that the first right to Balochistan’s natural resources belongs to the local people, and no one will be allowed to plunder their rights. Any attempt to seize these resources will not be tolerated.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister pledged that he will stand firm for the protection of people’s rights under all circumstances. He announced the construction of the Kan Mehtarzai Dam to prevent water wastage and declared that Muslim Bagh will be made a new district. He added that the bond of tribal respect and brotherhood is centuries old and cannot be broken by any force. He also announced several development projects for Qilla Saifullah, which he said would directly benefit the local population.
