On Tuesday, an important seminar was held in Quetta aimed at promoting interfaith harmony and strengthening national unity in the province. The event was attended by Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, Governor Balochistan, Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Commander Balochistan Corps Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, Senator Dinesh Kumar, MNAs Ramesh Lal and Darshan Lal, provincial ministers, members of the provincial assembly, and representatives from various religious communities and schools of thought.
Participants of the seminar praised the success of Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, terming it a significant achievement in paving the way for peace and stability in the country. Leaders from different faiths expressed prayers and goodwill for national unity, harmony, and sustainable peace.
In his address, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that the provincial government is committed to resolving the issues faced by minorities through practical measures. He announced the formation of a special committee dedicated to addressing these concerns and assured that if any religious places were under illegal occupation, they would be vacated and handed back to the respective communities within 24 hours.
Governor Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail emphasized that peace and development are not possible without national unity, and the government is actively taking measures to foster interfaith harmony.
The participants welcomed these initiatives, noting that such seminars contribute to social cohesion, help build a strong narrative against terrorism and extremism, and ensure peace in society.
At the conclusion of the event, participants pledged to spread the message of tolerance, brotherhood, and solidarity to establish a peaceful and stable society.
