A Practical Step Toward the Vision of a Drug-Free Balochistan

In line with the Government of Balochistan’s vision of a drug-free province, effective and decisive action was carried out against the illegal cultivation of poppy in District Dukki. Acting on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Dukki, Muhammad Naeem Khan, the operation was conducted under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Loni, Fatah Khan Bangulzai, and Risaldar Major Levies Force, Haji Ali Muhammad Shadozai, in the Killi Bugat area of Tehsil Loni. The operation was jointly carried out by the FC and the Levies Force.

During the action, three bore wells supplying water to the illegal crop were rendered inoperative, while the solar systems installed at the site were dismantled and destroyed to discourage any future illegal activity. The district administration made it clear that strict legal action would be taken against all individuals involved in poppy cultivation.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Dukki stated that the names of those involved in such unlawful activities would be included in the Fourth Schedule, and the land used for illegal cultivation would be taken into government custody and confiscated. He emphasized that no leniency would be shown in efforts to eliminate narcotics, and the rule of law would be ensured at all costs.
