Shaheed Abdul Hakeem Kakar: A Legacy of Justice, Duty, and Sacrifice

The Government of Balochistan, through its Home Department, has officially declared former District and Sessions Judge Mastung, Abdul Hakeem Kakar, a Shaheed (Martyr) in recognition of his exceptional service, unwavering commitment to justice, and ultimate sacrifice. He embraced martyrdom on 23 July 2026, when terrorists opened fire on him in Mastung while he was serving the nation through the rule of law.

Justice Abdul Hakeem Kakar dedicated his professional life to upholding the Constitution, safeguarding the rule of law, and ensuring that justice prevailed without fear or favor. His integrity, courage, and devotion to public service earned him the respect of colleagues, members of the legal fraternity, and the people he served.

The terrorist attack that claimed his life was not merely an assault on an individual; it was an attack on the principles of justice, the independence of the judiciary, and the institutions that protect the rights of citizens. Those who stand for law and justice often become targets of forces that seek to undermine peace and stability. Yet, such acts can never weaken the resolve of the state or the nation.

By officially recognizing Abdul Hakeem Kakar as a martyr, the Government of Balochistan has paid tribute to his remarkable service and reaffirmed its commitment to honoring those who make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. His recognition serves as a reminder that the sacrifices of public servants who dedicate their lives to protecting justice and the rule of law will always be remembered with dignity and gratitude.

Shaheed Abdul Hakeem Kakar’s legacy will continue to inspire future generations of judges, lawyers, civil servants, and citizens to uphold the values of justice, integrity, and courage. His life stands as a testament to the enduring belief that truth and justice are worth defending, even at the highest personal cost.

The people of Balochistan and Pakistan salute the memory of Shaheed Abdul Hakeem Kakar. His sacrifice will remain a symbol of resilience, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to justice. May Almighty Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and bless his family with strength, patience, and peace.
