Balochistan’s People-Centric Budget: Consultations with Coalition Parties Concluded

An important meeting of the parliamentary committee on budget formulation was held in Quetta under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. The session focused on detailed consultations regarding the upcoming fiscal year’s budget. Parliamentary leaders from coalition parties including the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League (PML), Awami National Party (ANP), Jamaat-e-Islami, and the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) participated in the meeting.

During the session, various aspects of the budget preparation were reviewed, and it was decided that recommendations from members of the assembly would be incorporated to make the budget more comprehensive and reflective of ground realities. Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that the budget is being prepared with a focus on public needs and will serve as a milestone for the development and welfare of Balochistan’s underdeveloped areas.

He further stated that transparency in development projects and equitable distribution of resources will be ensured so that every region receives its fair share. The Chief Minister highlighted that key areas such as education, healthcare, employment, and law and order will be prioritized in the budget to foster overall provincial development and improve the quality of life for citizens.

All parliamentary leaders present at the meeting expressed confidence in the Chief Minister’s leadership and called the budget-making process a positive step, reflecting political unity and a collective vision for the province.
