Consensus Reached on Public-Oriented Planning for Balochistan’s Upcoming Fiscal Budget through Consultation with All Political Parties

An important meeting of the parliamentary committee regarding the preparation of Balochistan’s upcoming fiscal year 2025–26 budget and Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) was held in Quetta under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti. Parliamentary leaders and members from various political parties including Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League, Awami National Party, Jamaat-e-Islami, and Balochistan Awami Party participated in the meeting. The Chief Minister reaffirmed his commitment to involve all political parties in the budget-making process, which was appreciated by participants as a significant step towards strengthening democratic traditions.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the features of the upcoming budget and development projects. It was unanimously agreed that the budget would be formulated keeping in view public needs, the development of underprivileged areas, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and employment opportunities. Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that equal development of all districts is the government’s top priority. He stated that resource allocation will be based on the genuine needs of each region, and full funding for proposed projects will be ensured to avoid any delays in development, allowing all districts to progress equally.

Participants expressed satisfaction with the transparency, inclusivity, and consultative approach adopted in the budget preparation process. They agreed that this collaborative effort would result in a budget that not only reflects public aspirations but also contributes to the economic stability of the province. At the conclusion of the meeting, all parliamentary representatives expressed confidence in the consultative leadership of the Chief Minister and declared that the upcoming budget would mark a milestone in Balochistan’s development and public welfare.
