Irrigation Department’s Integrated Water Resources Management Project: A Remarkable Success

The Irrigation Department’s Integrated Water Resources Management project is 99% complete, directly benefiting 407,913 people. Under this initiative, modern irrigation techniques have been introduced across more than 57,000 hectares, promoting high-value crop cultivation and surpassing the set targets by 14%.

This project provides farmers with opportunities to enhance their yield through advanced agricultural technology and efficient water utilization. Factors such as water conservation, increased crop production, and the installation of modern irrigation systems have accelerated agricultural progress. The use of advanced drip and sprinkler irrigation systems has not only improved water supply but also helped maintain soil fertility.

As a result of this initiative, the rural economy has strengthened, farmers’ incomes have increased, and sustainable water resource management has been ensured. This success paves the way for further agricultural development, contributing significantly to the country’s economic stability.
