Significant Progress in Healthcare Services in Balochistan: Free Treatment for Cancer, Dialysis, and Kidney Transplants

On the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, the reserve fund of the Balochistan Health Card Program has been reactivated to ensure uninterrupted treatment services for cancer and dialysis patients across the province. This initiative aims to relieve financially burdened patients and guarantee their access to essential medical care.

According to Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, the Balochistan Institute of Nephrology and Urology Quetta (BINUQ) has started offering free kidney transplant services under the Balochistan Health Card Program—a historic step in the province’s healthcare sector. This service will particularly benefit patients who were previously unable to afford such costly procedures, allowing them to receive treatment without any financial strain.

The Health Minister emphasized that access to healthcare is a fundamental right of every citizen in Balochistan, and no form of class, ethnic, or religious discrimination will be tolerated in the provision of medical services. Under the vision of “Healthcare for All,” the provincial government has implemented several key reforms and initiatives to strengthen the healthcare system. These measures represent a practical move toward a healthier and more prosperous Balochistan, where every individual has access to quality medical care.
